楽しく読めるものって何かないかと考えていたら。。。
英語のジョーク集みたいなのを見つけることができた。

これを使ってリーディングの練習をしながら
英語の笑いも身につけてみよう。
英語のジョーク：「absent-minded: うっかり」に関する話
(1) かさ
The man of the house finally took all the disabled umbrellas to the repairer‘s.
[the man of the house: 一家の主] [disabled: 機能しない] [repairer: 修理工]
Next morning on his way to his office, when he got up to leave the street car, he absent-mindedly laid hold of the umbrella belonging to a woman beside him, for he was in the habit of carrying one.
[on his way to: に行く途中] [street car: 路面電車] [lay hold of: を握る] [belong to: の所有物である] [for: というのも] [in the habit of: する習慣がある]
The woman cried “Stop thief!” rescued her umbrella and covered the man with shame and confusion.
[rescue: 奪い返す] [cover: 満たす]
That same day, he stopped at the repairer’s, and received all eight of his umbrellas duly restored.
[duly: 十分に] [restore: 修復する]
As he entered a street car, with the unwrapped umbrellas tucked under his arm, he was horrified to behold glaring at him the lady of his morning adventure.
[unwrapped: 包装していない] [tuck: 押し込む] [behold: 注視する] [glare: にらみつける]
Her voice came to him charged with a withering scorn:
[charged with: で充満している] [withering scorn: 見のすくむような軽蔑]
“Huh! Had a good day, didn’t you!”
オチ：女性は男性が傘を盗んできたと勘違いして「Had a good day, didn’t you!」と言ってきたところ。

ジョークなどのオチが分かるようためには
しっかりと意味を理解していかないといけない。
