今日はイソップ物語を使ってスピーキング練習を行おう。
最初はサイトトランスレーションを行い、
その後で物語を語れるようになれるようになろう。

A Wolf, meeting with a Lamb astray from the fold, resolved not to lay violent hands on him, but to find some plea, which should justify to the Lamb himself his right to eat him.
He then addressed him: “Sirrah, last year you grossly insulted me.”
“Indeed,” bleated the Lamb in a mournful tone of voice, “I was not then born.”
Then said the Wolf: “You feed in my pasture.”
“No, good sir,” replied the Lamb, “I have not yet tasted grass.”
Again said the Wolf: “You drink of my well.”
“No,” exclaimed the Lamb, “I never yet drank water, for as yet my mother’s milk is both food and drink to me.”
On which the Wolf seized him, and ate him up, saying:
“Well! I won’t remain supperless, even though you refute every one of my imputations.”
The tyrant will always find a pretext for his tyranny, and it is useless for the innocent to try by reasoning to get justice, when the oppressor intends to be unjust.

狼が群れからはぐれた子羊と出会った時に、狼は手荒い事はしたくないと決心しましたが、口実を考えて子羊を食べる権利を正当化しようとしました。狼は子羊に言いました。
「去年お前は俺を思いっきりののしってくれたね。」
子羊は泣きそうな声で言いました。「去年はまだ生まれていませんよ。」
そしたら狼は言いました。「俺の牧草で食べただろう。」
子羊はこう返しました。「いいえ、まだ草は食べていません。」
そうしたら狼は言いました。「俺の泉から飲んだだろ。」
子羊は大きな声で言いました。「水も飲んでいませんよ。だって、まだお母さんのミルクで飲み食いしてるんですよ。」
狼は、「むううう、腹ペコのままでたまるか！たとえお前が俺の難癖に反論したとしてもな！」
暴君とは暴力のための言い訳をいつも探しています。そして、暴君が不誠実なことをしようとしているとき、弱きものがそれに正当な理由で対抗しようとしても無駄なのです。
最後に一言
今日のイソップ物語の教訓はその通りだなと思う。
