Examiner: Let’s talk about your home.
Do you live in a house or an apartment?
Sample Answer: I live in an apartment located in the city center. It’s quite convenient because everything I need is within walking distance, such as shops, restaurants, and public transportation.
What is your favorite room in your home?
Sample Answer: My favorite room is definitely the living room. It’s where I can relax on the couch, watch TV, and spend time with my family. It has a large window that lets in a lot of natural light, which makes it very cozy.
Would you like to live in the countryside in the future?
Sample Answer: Yes, I think I would. I find the countryside very peaceful and refreshing compared to the hustle and bustle of the city. It would be nice to be surrounded by nature and have a slower pace of life.
Examiner: I’d like you to describe a book you recently read. You should say:
What the book is about
How you first heard about it
Why you decided to read it
And explain how you felt about it.
Sample Answer:
One of the books I recently read is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It’s a fascinating story about a young shepherd named Santiago who goes on a journey to discover his personal legend and pursue his dreams.
I first heard about this book from a friend who highly recommended it. She mentioned that it was inspiring and had a lot of life lessons, which piqued my interest.
I decided to read it because I was looking for something motivational, and the idea of following one’s dreams resonated with me.
After reading the book, I felt truly inspired and reflective. It made me think about my own goals and encouraged me to take risks to achieve what I want in life. It’s definitely a book I would recommend to others.
Examiner: Let’s talk about reading and education.
Do you think children should be encouraged to read more books? Why?
Sample Answer: Absolutely. Reading not only helps children improve their language skills but also enhances their imagination and creativity. Books can teach them valuable lessons about life and expose them to different perspectives.
How has technology changed the way people read books?
Sample Answer: Technology has revolutionized reading by making books more accessible. Nowadays, people can read e-books on their smartphones, tablets, or e-readers. While this convenience is great, I think it has also reduced the tactile experience of holding a physical book, which some people still cherish.
Do you believe that reading habits are declining in the modern world?
Sample Answer: To some extent, yes. With the rise of social media and digital entertainment, fewer people seem to have the patience to sit down and read a book. However, audiobooks and e-books are helping to keep reading alive in different formats.
