①学園生活編
学園生活編では、剣 桃太郎を筆頭とする男塾一号生たちの日常が描かれる。
理不尽な教官のしごきや、二号生からの過酷な扱いに耐えながら成長していく。
また、男塾の面々が原因となって外の社会とのトラブルに巻き込まれることも多いが、
知恵・人情・男気によってそれらを解決していく。
男塾の精神と仲間の絆が描かれる序盤のエピソードである。
In the School Life Arc, the story focuses on the daily lives of the first-year students of Otokojuku, led by Momotaro Tsurugi.
They endure unreasonable training from cruel instructors and harsh treatment from second-year students.
At the same time, the students often get involved in troubles with the outside world.
Using intelligence, compassion, and their strong sense of manly honor, they overcome these problems together.
This arc establishes the spirit of Otokojuku and the bonds between its students.
② 驚邏大四凶殺編
男塾は運営費不足という危機に陥り、塾長・江田島は愕怨祭を開催して資金を集めようとする。
しかしその最中、伊達臣人率いる関東豪学連が襲撃してくる。
男塾名物競技「羅惧美偉」で先鋒隊を撃破され激怒した伊達は総攻撃を命令。
江田島は最終決戦として「驚邏大四凶殺」を提案し、霊峰富士で決着をつけることとなる。
Otokojuku faces a financial crisis, and Headmaster Edajima decides to hold a festival called the Gakuensai to raise money.
However, during the festival, Kantō Gōgakuren, led by Omito Date, launches an attack.
After their advance force is defeated in Otokojuku’s brutal sport, Ragubi, Date orders a full assault.
Edajima proposes a deadly battle called Kyōra Daiyonkyōsatsu, and both sides agree to fight at Mount Fuji to settle everything.
③ 大威震八連制覇編
驚邏大四凶殺は男塾の勝利で終わるが、桃太郎以外の戦士は全滅したと思われる。
生き残った桃は地に横たわり、朝日を眺めていた。
そこに謎の影が現れ、戦いは黒幕によって操られていたと告げる。
下山すると仲間たちは生きており、豪学連側の4名の生存も確認される。
しかし喜びも束の間、一号生は三号生に呼び出される。
呼び出し人の名を聞いた富樫は顔色を変え、
天動宮へ向かうと、さらなる試練が待ち構えていた。
The Kyōra Daiyonkyōsatsu ends in Otokojuku’s victory, but all warriors except Momotaro are believed dead.
Momotaro alone survives and watches the sunrise while lying on the ground.
A mysterious figure appears and reveals that the entire battle was manipulated behind the scenes.
When Momotaro returns, his comrades—and even four members of Gōgakuren—are found alive.
Soon after, the first-year students are summoned by the third-year students.
Shocked by the caller’s name, Togashi turns pale.
The group heads to Tendōkyū, where new trials await them.
④ 天挑五輪大武會編
大威震八連制覇の直後、桃たちは塾長室に呼び出される。
そこでは、米軍が日本軍の秘密基地を次々と撃破する戦争フィルムが流されていた。
江田島は、その情報を流していた男が伊佐武光、
現在は藤堂兵衛と名を変え、日本の影の支配者として君臨していると語る。
その非道ぶりに怒った塾生たちは、藤堂を討つため、
彼が主催する天挑五輪大武會への参加を決意する。
出征戦士は16名で、のちに赤石と江田島も合流する。
Soon after the previous battle, Momotaro and his friends are summoned to the headmaster’s office.
They are shown war footage revealing that the U.S. military destroyed Japan’s secret bases with inside information.
Edajima explains that the traitor is Isamu Mitsumasa, now known as Tōdō Hyōei, a shadow ruler of Japan.
Enraged by his betrayal, the students decide to defeat him by entering the Tenchō Gorin Tournament, which he sponsors.
Sixteen warriors are dispatched at first, and later Akashi and Edajima himself join the battlefield.
⑤ 七牙冥界闘編
天挑五輪から1か月後、塾生たちは進級し、新入生が入塾する。
総代を決める戦いの最中、塾長室で異変が起こる。
江田島は麻酔銃によって拉致され、宇宙へと飛ばされてしまう。
塾生たちは江田島救出のため、七牙冥界闘への参加を強いられる。
初期出征戦士は17名で、途中から月光と王が合流。
最終的に江田島は自力で宇宙から脱出し、黒幕の藤堂兵衛は捕縛される。
One month after the Tenchō Gorin, the students advance in rank and welcome new recruits.
During a battle to decide the new leader, a crisis occurs in the headmaster’s office.
Edajima is kidnapped using a powerful tranquilizer and launched into space.
To rescue him, the students are forced to fight in the Seven Tasks of the Underworld.
Seventeen warriors are dispatched at first, with Gekko and Wang joining later.
Although seven arenas must normally be cleared, Edajima escapes from space on his own.
The mastermind, Tōdō Hyōei, is captured, and the battle ends.
⑥ 風雲羅漢塾編
風雲羅漢塾は、江田島の宿命のライバル・熊田金造が作り上げた、もう一つの男塾である。
30年前の誓いにより、男塾と羅漢塾は「五魂遷」によって決着をつけることとなる。
男の誇りと因縁が激突する、集大成とも言える編である。
Rakhanjuku is a rival school created by Kumada Kinzō, Edajima’s lifelong rival.
By a thirty-year-old oath, Otokojuku and Rakhanjuku agree to settle their rivalry through a battle called Gokon-sen.
This arc represents a clash of pride, history, and destiny between two ultimate schools.
