In the secret meeting room, the detective tried to decipher a mysterious letter that seemed to defy all logic. On the wall, a map was used to delineate the criminal’s movements, allowing the detective to deduce his next target.
When asked to join the risky plan, the young officer started to demur, but his hesitation seemed to diffuse the growing tension in the room. Meanwhile, the chief decided to debar any journalist from entering and began to decry the spread of false information.
Outside, a sudden attack decimated the old building, and some people tried to denigrate the authorities for being unprepared. The guards managed to detain several suspects, though one of them tried to disavow any involvement.
The mayor spoke with obvious disdain, while others chose to dissemble their true opinions behind fake smiles. Later, a reporter asked a question in a lazy drawl, and the spokesperson started to dribble water nervously from his glass. Eventually, the excitement began to dissipate, and the government tried to downplay the whole incident to the public.
