In the middle of the battlefield, the warrior brandished his sword, refusing to capitulate despite overwhelming odds. His face blanched as he saw his fallen comrades, but he fought on. A young messenger suddenly blurted out the secret plan, which completely baffled the enemy. In response, the enemy general was banished from command for failure.
The queen, bereaved of her brother in battle, bemoaned her loss but still managed to beguile the court with her dignity. Later, she canvassed the nobles for support and accused the general of contravening royal orders. The traitor was consigned to exile, and the queen consecrated the victory to the gods. Behind it all, her advisor had contrived the events from the shadows. Even her fiercest rivals had to concur: her power was absolute.
