Initially, I planned a peaceful vacation on an insular island, far from my busy life. However, things went catastrophically wrong. The flimsy boat I rented broke down in the middle of the ocean, consequently leaving me stranded. I was intimidated by the obscure noises coming from the jungle as I searched for shelter. Suddenly, a bedraggled man appeared, his appearance ambiguous — was he a survivor or a danger? His equivocal words didn’t help: “I’ve been waiting for you… or maybe not.”
The situation felt like a movie with a dogmatic villain and an obsequious sidekick. The camp they led me to was languishing, with squeamish tourists refusing to eat the mysterious local cuisine. Ultimately, I managed to escape by pretending to be an international singing superstar, which, surprisingly, worked. My ambiguous adventure finally ended with a bizarre but happy memory.
