In a homogeneous village nestled deep in the forest, people lived peacefully — or so it seemed. Everyone followed hygienic practices, wore similar clothes, and ate only palatable meals prepared in traditional ways. The villagers were known for their gregarious nature, always welcoming travelers with smiles and stories.
However, when a terrestrial creature — a giant, glittering worm — emerged from the soil, things changed. It moved menacingly through the fields, creating traumatic memories for the children. A naive researcher tried to approach it, thinking it was friendly, but was swallowed whole. His deceased body was later found, unrecognizable and covered in slime.
The village chief, a ruthless yet wise old man, declared that the beast must be killed. Many rash young warriors volunteered, charging recklessly into the forest. Only one returned — bruised and broken — telling tales of a strenuous battle. He had defeated the beast, but not without loss.
Later, a poet tried to immortalize the story, but his verses were so trite that even the dead would groan. Still, in that quiet, forgotten corner of the world, the memory of the creature and the brave villagers lived on — not in poetry, but in scars and silence.
