he played the carom off the back fence. And it’s a grand slam for Jay Bruce. Nice deek by Ortega who had that ball land in his mitt somehow.

Ortega was shocked to find that ball in his glove. Tried to sell it as best he could. The umpires are gonna have to go and check it out, I think. Now they are just gonna let the call stand.

I think they know it’s a grand slam and I think dogmatically it’s a grand slam. And one guy doesn’t know during the phone. He needs to go back inside. And you can see it. You can hear it. It went off the blue sign. It is a grand slam. The 2nd of the season for Bruce and the 7th of his major league career.
間違いなくグランドスラムだと、みんな分かっていると思います。
そして、理屈的にもやはりグランドスラムです。

Grounded to first! Moreland goes to second one. I don’t know what Holliday was doing. Ellsbury is safe at first. Holliday was going to 2nd. He’s out on the force. I guess Holliday thought that he was on a run-down, but Morland did not step on first.
He threw to second so he’s out on the force. He’s definitely out, but how do you rule this? I mean you can’t assume a double-play I guess.

間違いなくアウトですが、これをどう判定しますか？
ダブルプレーと仮定することはできませんね。

Well I mean, I think he interfered with the first base when they’re gonna catch. Yes, he did! I mean, he’s running back to first and he’s a runner that doesn’t exist anymore. He’d been erased. There’s gonna be an interesting conversation. Unless he was, I don’t know. He was out at second. There’s no reason for him to be running back to first.

One that didn’t belong there. Let’s see what they have.

any deliberate motion with a call. I would think they were going to call it a double-play. They would take the headset off and pump their fists. I think he said I’m protesting.
I really believe the Yankees catch a break here. I think it was obvious interference by Holliday.
